Book review

Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde
by Robert Louis Stevenson

It’s about the internal struggle between the benevolent Henry Jekyll and the evil Edward Hyde, to see which side will be victorious. A race against the time to avoid that the other side claim Dr. Jekyll’s mind and body. The place is in London, England approximately in the year 1867

There are 3 main characters in the story:
-          Dr Henry Jekyll:  is the good-looking, generous, good, kindly, liked man who studied chemistry was a talented doctor in an early age. In fact other doctor looks for him for advice.

-          Edward Hyde: was all the opposite: controlled by lust, jealous, angry,  ugly, short, bad meaning, who was obsess to take control of Jekyll’s body and set free himself

-          Gabriel John Utterson:  short-word man, tall, thin, old, loved, cold,  was Jekyll’s friend and also Jekyll’s lawyer and he discovered the truth about who was Mr. Hyde
Dr. Jekyll’s believe that can separate the good and bad side of the persons and it’s a fact that he actually can do it but that he doesn’t expected is that the experiment wasn’t going as he wanted. When Jekyll discovered the way to separate the alter ego, he tried on himself. After that mysterious events occurs and Utterson went to discover the truth behind of those acts.

So, before finish this, It can be say that this tell us about the duality of every person. In addition, the Writer take in secret in the rest of the plot, that Jekyll wants to himself, making the reader to come up with his own conclusions, even take the readers to be interested and guessing what or how can be the end. It's a very fascinating story to read over and over.

I read this book in my other University and  I like the book for the plot and what is going on the story, and how Utterson is guessing the clues about Mr. Hyde and why is so close with Dr. Jekyll . The plot is very interesting and make you think about a combination about the fight of good and evil in the human being.
Stevenson makes a critic about Victorian society, a critic to the high class of that period, where they can do anything they want as long as the society can see a minimum respect on them.
I recommend this book if you like detective books
